Philosophy and Goals

With the acquisition of substantial new acreage for expansion, the Greenwich Cemetery Association is now completing the development of its long range plan to expand over the next 50 to 100 years. In this plan, the Association will maintain the following as its goals:

1. The property will be developed to provide multiple and varied burial, cremation, and memorial options.

2. The property will be developed in a manner emphasizing serenity and the property’s natural qualities, and in a style compatible with the oldest portion of the cemetery.

3. Areas for meditation will be featured.

4. Plantings and memorials are to be consistent with the overall development philosophy, in terms of type, location and quality. Permanent plantings must be approved by the Board of Trustees.
